This tea plantation is located 30 KM north of Malang, notably in Lawang District that lies on the foot of Mt Arjuno. It has ease of access, by private car or even public transport.
Coban Pelangi region is part of conservation zone. This fall is located 10 km from Tumpang District and 32 KM from Malang city. Situated in steep slope of mountains region of 45 degree. Visiting Coban Pelangi means a good stamina needed. Sneakers and casual outfit to trek are needed as 20 minutes walk through hilly track should be passed to reach the fall, and plus 15 minutes walk on river track.
Candi Surawana is located in Canddu Villace, Pare, Kediri, East Java , 25 KM from Kediri city. The original name is Candi Wishnubhawanapura, estimated built in the 14th century to glorify Bhre Wengker, a king from Wengker Monarch under Majapahir Kingdom. KIng Wengker died in 1338. In Negarakertagama, written that in 1361, King Hayamwuruk from Majapahit visited and stay overnight in Surawa Temple.
The temple is not big in size, only 8 X 8 m2. The temple’s material is andesit stone, and identified as Siva temple. Nowadays, the entire body and roof are collapse, only the 3 m foot temple left. Candi Sawentar is situated in Dukuh Kanigoro, Garum, Blitar, East Java. Located on the east of Blitar city, the temple is lower than the surrounding region. This temple was buried by soil for centuries, until the discovery in 1915 to 1920. The basic shape is rectangle similar to Candi Kidal.
The temple is built on foundation with size of 7 X 7 M2 and height 1.5 m, the total height is 10.65 m. The temple’s body is smaller than the foot, and formed a narrow hall way. Candi Sadon is located in Cepoko Village, Panekan, Magetan, East Java, notably on the mainroad Magetan-Panekan. Local people call it as Candi Reog, as there is Kalamakara on the temple, that looks like tiger head of Reog mask.
Not much information about this temple, though this has been appointed as an archaeological remain. IT said that this temple is the heritage of King Airlangga, but no information about its when this temple erected or its function. This temple is located in Karangbesuki Village, Dau, Malang, East Java, just 5 km from the city center. Candi badut also known as Candi Liswa, found in 1923 by an archaeologist. This temple is estimated to be erected before the reign of King Airlangga, period when temples in East Java initiated to build. Candi Badut is the oldest in East Java, several experts reckon the temple was built according to King Gajayana from Kanjuruhan Kingdom. In Dinoyo inscription, 760, found in Merjosari village, Malang, the center of Kanjuruhan Kingdom is located in Dinoyo. Now, the inscription can be seen in National Museum, Jakarta. The inscription also mentions about King Dewasimba and his non, Liswa, that reigned during the heyday of the Kingdom. Liswa was titled as King Gajayana that was humorous or in Javanese mbadhut, and that was how the temple got its name, as the temple was built by his order. Candi Kidal lies on Rejokidal Village, Tumpang, Malang. It can be reached easily , just 20 KM East of Malang. This temple is said to be the oldest worship temple in East Java, date back in 1248 after Cradha for King Anusapati of Singasari Kingdom. Kahuripan Kingdom from 11 to 12th Century and Kediri Kingdom from 12 to 13th century only left Candi Belahan and Candi Jalatunda. The purpose of erecting the building is to make darma of King Anusapati, that his spirit will be blessed as Siva Mahadewa, in the transition period from Central Java to East Java glorious days. Gunung Argopuro is located among other mountains of Hyang Mountaing complex. There are peaks with old geology structure, and few are newer structure. There are couple peaks in the complex, namely : Gn Semeru (2847 m), Mt Jambangan (2773 m), Mt Cemoro Kandang, Mt Kerincing, MT Kukusan, Mt Malang, Mt Saing, Mt Sela and Mt Argopuro. This plantation is 1013 hectares on elevation of 450 meters to 850 m asl, on the highest part of the plantation, scenery of Banyuwangi City, Bali Strait, Blambangan Peninsula, and Bali Island are visible beautifully. The cemetery complex is a 1.8 hectared since round quarter centuries ago, after the president’s funeral and restoration was done.
