Lawa (Bat) Cave in Trenggalek, East Java, Indonesia

Lawa Cave is located in Watuagung, Watulimo, Trenggalek, East Java, and it is just 30 km from Trenggalek City and 180 KM from Surabaya. The access is good enough as it is on the same route to Prigi Beach of Kediri Regency.

Submarine Museum (Monkasel) is situated in the heart of Surabaya, on the edge of Kalimas River. This museum was built as a memorial of the brave fighters of Indonesia, and to conserve history or Indonesia’s Maritime.

This Museum was Indonesian Navy’s submarine which was named KRI Pasopati, type SS Whiskey Class, that was made in Vladi Wostok Russia in 1952. Cangar Hot Spring and the vicinity, East Java, Indonesia

Located in Taman Hutan Raya R Soerjo (The Grand Forest Park) is located around 20 KM from Batu City, East Java. This hot spring is popular among local people and one of the favorite place to spend weekend. The hot spring is channeled to hot swimming pool and room for women with more natural design. Enjoying the pool as well as the green trees around and the mild weather is really relaxing for visitors.

To get to the hot spring visitors have to walk through path for 15 minutes through the forest, where sometimes monkeys of the forest greet happily. Local people selling fried tofu, tempe and banana, so visitors do not need to worry when hunger comes. Hot coffee or tea are also available to warm bodies in this cold refreshing forest.

Purwodadi Botanical Garden, Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia

This botanical garden is located in Pasuruan Regency, East Java and it is easily accessible. Was established in January 30th 1941 by Dr. L.G.M Baas Becking, and it is one of units branch of Bogor Botanical Garden that each unit has certain function and task. Other botanical gardens are located in Cibodas and Bali, and the management is supervised by LIPI 9(The Indonesian Institute of Sciences).

In the beginning this garden was used as research mean of plants, but then in 1954 the guidelines of botanical garden were applied by slotting plantations. Since 1980, plants were rearranged per family using Engler and Pranti clasification system. On further development this unit will be developed as center of research and conservation dry climate plants in tropics area. Ketep Pass: Volcano Based Attraction, Central Java, Indonesia

Ketep Pass, is relatively new tourist spot located 17 KM from Blabak Magelang, 30 KM from Magelang City, and 35 KM from Boyolali, and form Borobudur Temple it is just 35 KM away. Ambarawa Railway Museum, Central Java, Indonesia

Ambarawa Railway Museum was established in 1976, with main aim to preserve old locomotives that were not used anymore by Indonesian State Railway, now PT Kereta Api Indonesia. The train station of Ambarawa was built in May 21st 1873 on a 127.500 m2 land. The idea came from King Willem I who wanted to build a train station to give ease of mean to transport his troops to Semarang from Ambarawa, that was a military basis in Dutch Colonial era. The heyday of Ambarawa station was called as WILLEM I, and discontinue operation as train station that favour Ambarawa-Kedungjati-Semarang, and then in 1976 for track of Ambarawa-Parakan-Temanggung. Karapan Sapi : Bull Race Of Madura!, East Java, Indonesia

Karapan sapi is a traditional bull race event from Madura Island in east Java. Kerapan derives from kerap or kirap that means depart, or released together or droves. But other version is that it derives from arabic kirabah that means friendship, and sapi means bull.

This race is originally from Sapudi Island, a small island next to Madura Island. There are two versions of the background history of this race. The first version is that the race was used by an Islam ulema to overspread Islam across Madura. Other version is that this race was created by a prominent man from Sapudi Island to make the soil fertile by plowing. This idea yield a good crop for the farmers.Then after that, post-harvest-time, they celebrated by holding bull race. Ski Lot : Skiing on Mud, Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia

Well, seeing people skiing on a snow or water is just so common. What about skiing on mud? This interesting sport is an annual event from Lekok Village in Pasuruan Regency of East Java. 7 days after Idul Fitri, they hold this festive event as media of gratitude to God for the whole fortune of the year, and for Ramadhan, the blissful month.

Lekok Village is a sea shore village with the dominant occupation is traditional fishermen. This event is also to entertain communities when they are off from sailing.

Gunung Sumbing, Wonosobo, Central Java, Indonesia

Mt Sumbing is one of the highest mountain in Java, located in Central Java Indonesia. With height of 3371 m, this mountain with his wife Mt Sindoro look protruding among the surrounding. This strato type mountain has been very popular among mountain climbers as it is the higest peak in Central Java.

There are three routes to get to the summit:
1. Cepit Parakan (East Slope)
2. Kalikajar (East Slope)
3. Garung (West Slope)
