Candi Sewu is situated at Dukuh Bener, Bugisan, Prambanan District, Klaten Regency,Central Java. This temple is located 17 km from Solo, and is a temple cluster located nearby Prambanan Temple, 800 meters on the south of Roro Jongrang statue.
Candi Sewu was built in the 8th century, in Mataram Hindu era when reigned by Rakai Panangkaran (746-748) and Rakai Pikatan. Although Mataram kings were Hindu, the kingdom was influenced by Syailendra Dynasty that was Buddha. Experts considered that this temple was the center of religious activity of Buddhist, based on an inscription written in old Malay language in 792 Saka, Manjusrigrta inscription. This inscription tells that there was a completion activity of Manjusrigrha in 714 Saka (792), Manjusri also mentioned in Kelurak Inscription date back 782 found in Candi Lumbung. Krapyak region was a very lush forest, located on the south of Sultan Palace, Jogja. This lush forest were home for wildlife, and the most popular is deer. Mataram kings used to hunt in this forest.
The second kind of Islam Mataram, Prabu Hanyokrowati, the son of Panembahan Senopati, loved to hunt there. Oneday, in 1613, he got an accident while hunting, and died there. Tugu (Monument) Jogja is located in the center of intersection of Jalan pangeran Mangkubumi, Jalan AM Sangaji, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and Jalan Diponegoro. This monument has been standing there for more than 3 centuries, has been a dumb witness of historical and development of Jogja. Menjer Lake is located in Menjer Village, Garung, Wonosobo, Central Java. This lake covers 75 hectares , with 45 meters depth and surrounded by high hills, creates a very nice scenery. This lake is easily reached, only 5 km from Wonosobo Dieng mainroad.

Located on the border of East and Central Java, Mt Lawu (3265 m), still keeps mystery and legend. Mt Lawu is believed to be the meditation site of Raden Brawijaya or known as Sunan Lawu, after resigning from Majapahit. Local people believe that he reigns Mt Lawu until today.
Mt Lawu crater is Kawah Condrodimuka, and local people believe the crater is where Raden Gatutkoco trained. Mataram was the center Mataram Hindu Kingdom, which is now Yogyakarta. Since the 8th century this Kingdom ruled all over Java, and very civilized, prosperous that it built temples, magnificent architecture. After the center of Java culture moved to East Java, the region shifted to lush forest. Few centuries later, Java was under Pajang Kingdom in Central Java. Mt Merbabu, 3.142 m asl, administratively located in 3 regencies, Magelang, Salatiga and Boyolali. This mountain is a strato-volcano type, on the north mountain range of Mt Merapi, Mt Telomoyo, MT Andong and Mt Ungaran. This mountain last eruption is on 1968.
