Gunung Slamet, Central Java, Indonesia

Mt Slamet is the highest mountain in Central Java, and the second highest in Java after Semeru. Mt Slamet is type of strato mountain with an active wide crater. The last eruption of this mountain was in July 1988 caused flame from the crater and 300 m height of ejecting lava. Mt Slamet is located at the border if Prubalingga, Banjarnegara, Banyumas and Brebes.
A very big fire swallowed forest of Mt Slamet in 1995 caused the loss of flora and fauna on the mountain, including the very rare species of edelweiss. Edelweiss on Mt Slamet is yellowy white and the stalks resembles long dry leaf, different than one in Mt Gede Pangrango with its white flower and hairy stalk.

Four Faced Buddha Statue, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia

Surabaya has four faced Buddha statue monument and recorded as the tallest and the biggest four faced Buddha statue in Indonesia by MURI (Indonesia Record Museum).This statue is 225 meters square and 9 meters height.

The total height of this monument is 36 meters and officially finished on November 9th 2004. Built on area covers 1.5 hectares where in the middle of it there is a building with 9 meters length, 9 meters width and 36 meters height.

Candi Kalasan, Sleman, Jogja, Indonesia

Kalasan Temple is located less than 200 meters from Jogja-Solo mainroad, notably in Kalibening Village, Kalasan, Sleman Regency, Jogja., Indonesia. This temple was built in 778, and has been restored 3 times. Unfortunately, the temple is not intact with its statuary, as they have been missing.

Goa (Cave) Jatijajar, Central Java, Indonesia

This cave is is located in Kebumen, Central Java, Indonesia, stretches 250 meters with average width 25 meters and 10 meters roof thickness. Inside the cave  flows active underground river and springs.

There are 7 springs and only four that can be reached easily in the cave. Bumi and Jombor spring have virtue for personal purpose. Mawar Spring has virtue for forever young virtue if one bathes or wash face with its water. And Kantil Spring for achieving one’s desire by washing face or bathe there.The water from cave is channel to swimming pool for adult and also for children. The water always flows even in the driest season. Currently, the water also used by local farmers for irrigation.

This cave is a natural cave located under limestone mountain that was created by thousand years of natural process. The limestone mountain spans from north and the projecting to the sea on a gulf. Located 42 kilometers on the west of  Kebumen and 21 kilometers south of Gombong.

Sam Po Kong Temple, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia

Local people call Som Po Kong temple as Gedong Batu. This Temple is located in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. It was built to worship Admiral Ming Dynasti (1368-1643), in the when Caesar Yung Lo reigned.  This admiral was sent as representative in Indonesia, notably in Java, landed on Semarang shore in 1401. Pancuran Pitu ( 7 flows) Hotspring, Banyumas, Central Java

Pancuran means tap or faucet where water flows, and pitu means seven. Pancuran Pitu hotspring is a hotspring that source from 7 springs. Located 2.5 Km from the gate of Baturaden, and has good roading condition. To get to the spring, it takes 300 meters walking through steep stairs.

Candi (Temple) Sukuh: Erotic Mayan-Like Temple, Karang Anyar, Central Java

This temple architecture is unlike other temples in Indonesia, its trapezium. At a glance, it looks like Mayan building in Mexico or Inca in Peru. This temple is also controversial as there are linga and yoni, hindu sexual symbols. IN 1990, Tenggerese was recorded having 50.000 inhabitant dwelling on the slope of Mt Semeru and aroung Tengger Kaldera. The are respected by the vicinity community, as humble, honest and hard worker ethnic group. According to local legend, Tenggerese is the offspring of Roro Anteng and Joko Seger (Majapahit Princess) and Joko Seger (A Brahman Son). Tenggerese speak old Javanese language, the dont recognize caste in language, and different than general Javanese language that has class of language. Since Majapahit Era, the region is already known as a sacred place. Until today they still adhere Hindu and once a year they hold Kasada Ritual. Candi (Temple) Ratu Boko, Jogja, Indonesia

According in inscription of Rakai Panangkaran from 746-784, Ratu Boko was known as Abhayagiri Wihara. Abhaya means no danger, ang giri means hill/mountain,Wihara mean dorm /place. Abhayagiri Wihaya can be defined as a place where Buddhist monks reside and located on a hilly region. This place then later named as Kraton Walaing that proclaimed by King of Vasal ; Rakai Walaing Pu Kumbayoni. The name of Kraton Ratu Boko derives from Kraton and Ratu Boko. Kraton derives from Ka-da-tu-an means palaca, and Ratu Boko derives from Ratu means King and Boko means heron.
