Itinerary of: YOGYAKARTA 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS TOUR

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL YOGYAKARTA – TRANSFER IN
Welcome to Yogyakarta. Guide will pick you up at Yogyakarta International Airport and private transfer to your hotel located the city of Yogyakarta, which requires approximately 1 hour drive. Subject to your arrival time, some activities can be enjoyed. Short visit to Gamplong Studio Alam, Kalibiru View Point, browse for batik or handicrafts at Beringharjo Traditional Market, or just walk along Malioboro street pedestrian.

DAY 02 : BOROBUDUR SUNRISE-LAVA TOUR MERAPI– KETEP PASS-KEDUNG KAYANG WATERFALL (B/L/D)
Depart at 03.00 from hotel and directly drive about 1 hour to Muntilan District where Borobudur Temple located. Walk about 30 minutes to Setumbu Hill View Point, one of best places to expect sunrise and the figures of Borobudur Temple and Mount Merapi. The landscape in the morning could be magical and awe-inspiring, especially when the mist covers the green forest creating an enigmatic view.
And then continue the tour by observing Borobudur Temple, the biggest Buddhist monument erected by Syailendra Dynasty and now is inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage.
After simple breakfast and then drive closer to Mount Merapi, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Kaliadem Village lies within striking distance from the peak of Mount Merapi and has the proofs of what the volcano eruption could cause to the surrounding. You will ride 4WD through Merapi lava flow along Opak River and visit to Museum Sisa Hartaku. Museum Sisa Hartaku was a house that was burnt down by Mount Merapi eruption in 2010, and it displays household things melted by super-hot Lava, and one of the things was the clock which shows the exact time when the lava hit. Lunch at local restaurant.
Drive about 1 hour to Ketep Pass to observe Mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu from striking distance. Few minutes drive from the view point, is where you will get mesmerized by picturesque view of Mount Merapi in full shape and Kedung Kayang Waterfall cascades down through the cliff as it was born out of Mount Merapi.

DAY 03 : JOMBLANG CAVE-PRAMBANAN TEMPLE (B/L/D)
Depart at 07.00 from your hotel and drive approximately 2 hours to Gunungkidul Regency, a region which consists of limestone and located nearby costal area with beautiful beaches. Upon arrival at Jomblang Cave Camp and then short briefing, prepare and wear caving equipment led by your experienced local caving guide. You will descend to the ground of the vertical cave and then walk few minutes through the horizontal cave tunnel to Grubug Cave where you will hear the underground river flowing. Grubug Cave is where the light from above the earth surface illuminates the vertical cave.
After lunch and then pay a visit Prambanan Temple Compound to explore and observe Prambanan Temple, Bubrah Temple, Lumbung Temple and the beautifully designed Sewu Temple. This UNESCO World Heritage site is the biggest Hindu Temple in Indonesia which was built during the period of Sanjaya Dynasty in the 9th Century as written on Syiwagrha inscription found in the area. You can also enjoy sunset at Prambanan Temple.
