OVERVIEW
The 5 days hiking itinerary will take you to Mount Slamet, the highest mountain in Central Java and also one of the highest in Indonesia. It takes about 4-5 hours drive from Yogyakarta to the mountain, and this itinerary you will access Mt Slamet peak via Bambangan Camp in Probolinggo, which is still pristine. After the challenging hike, you will trek to Mount Prau, known as easy trek, only 2 hours hike where you can see mesmerizing view form peak and then explore Dieng Plateau area, the mystical land.
ITINERARY :
Day 1 (9 AUG) : ARRIVAL YOGYAKARTA-SAND DUNE-BAMBANGAN VILLAGE (L/D)
Overnight : Flyingcamp Bambangan
Day 2 (10 AUG) : BAMBANGAN BASECAMP (1,279) – CAMPSITE MT SLAMET (B/L/D)
After breakfast and the drive to Bambangan basecamp for registration, afterwards start trekking through the slope of Mount Slamet, known as the highest peak in Central Java and one of the highest in Java. It takes about 6 hours hike from basecamp to Campsite.

Day 3 (11 AUG) : CAMPSITE -MT SLAMET PEAK-BAMBANGAN -WONOSOBO (B/L/D)
About 01.00 after having hot coffee and tea and cookies and then hike to summit which will take about 4 hours. From the peak of Mt Slammet you can see other peaks in the vicinity such as: Mt Sindoro, Mt Sumbing, Mt Merapi and Mt Merbabu. Descend, breakfast and then hike down to Bambangan. Arrival Bambangan late afternoon and then about 4 hours drive to Pathak Banteng Camp of Mount Prau. Hike for 2 hours to peak of Mount Prau and Camping. You will arrive late at night at campsite.

Day 4 (12 AUG) : MT PRAU-DIENG PLATEAU- YOGYAKARTA (B/L/D)
Enjoy sunrise at Mount Prau, and breakfast. Descend via Dieng Kulon Village and then visit Batu Pandang View Point to see Lake Warna and Lake Pengilon from above. Proceed to visit Sikidang Crater, and Hindu Temple Complex. Enjoy hot bath at Kalianget hot spring to rejuvenate. About 1200 am, drive back to Yogyakarta.

Day 5 (13 AUG) : TRANSFER OUT (B)
