Makassar Shore Excursion: Day Tour from Makassar Seaport

Makassar is one of metropolitan cities in Indonesia which is now center of trade, industrial, distribution, health and education for eastern Indonesia regions. There are 7 ethnic groups live in Makassar they are Makassar, Bugis, Mandar, Buton, Javanese and Chinese. Makassar has long history since the 15th Century since it was initially a city at Tallo River downstream before it dried out. It was part of Siang Kingdom and it united with another small kingdom called Gowa and they got independence and dominate other small kingdoms in the vicinity. Maros is situated about 1 hour from Makassar where you can more nature, karst area, prehistoric cave painting and butterfly kingdom and Bantimurung National Park.

OPTION 1 : MAROS TOUR
Duration : 7 Hours
ITINERARY :
Pick up at Makassar Seaport, and then drive about 1 hour to Rammang Rammang Karst known as one of the biggest karts area in the planet. Enjoy boating through river to Berua Village. Proceed to Leang Leang prehistoric site and enter cave where images made by prehistoric human inside the cave: image of babi rusa animal and  human handprints. Drive to Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park, where you will walk inside the park to waterfall, and green lake. Return to Makassar Seaport.

-The 99 Domes Mosque: One of the most unique mosque which has 99 domes for the 99 names of Allah, built in 2017.
-Losari Beach
-Gowa Palace: the last palace of Gowa Kingdom , built in the 1936 where you can learn about the architecture as the culture from its museum
-Somba Opu Fortress built by Gowa Kingdom
