ITINERARY
Day 01: ARRIVAL TARAKAN (D)
Upon arrival Tarakan Airport, meeting guide and then transfer to hotel in Tarakan. In the evening you will have free leisure, and possibility for sightseeing around Tarakan and then dinner at local restaurant.

Day 02: TARAKAN- TANJUNG SELOR (B/L/D)
After breakfast transfer to Tarakan harbor and sail for 3 hours speedboat ride to Tanjung Selor, upon arrival at Tanjung Selor, check in at Hotel, proceed to enjoy city tour, Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: TANJUNG SELOR- LONG BIA- KAYAN RIVER (B/L/D)
Early morning, you will have a full cruise trip upstream Kayan River by longboat to Long Bia. Enroute you will be passing rice field, forest and if you are fortunate you can spot animals such as long nose monkeys and birds species. When water level is low, there are rapids to be crossed. You will be staying overnight at losmen or local house. Meals are served enroute.

Day 04: LONG BIA- BAHAU RIVER- LONG PUNJUNGAN (B/L/D)
Today you will cruise further to the upper steam of Kayan River and turn into Bahau River to reach Long Punjungan. During the cruise you will be crossing rapids, admire beautiful view alongside the river. You will be having meals at one of Dayak Tribe Village that we will be passing. Overight at local house in Long Punjungan or adjacent village.

Day 05: LONG PUNJUNGAN- LONG JELET (B/L/D)
After breakfast you will ride motor canoe along river to Long Jelet where you can experience, observe the authentic life of Dayak Kenyah and Dayak Punan Tribe which still live in harmony with mother nature, by hunting, fishing and dry rice plantation. You will have dinner and overnight at local house.

Day 06 & 07: TREKKING ARROUND- LONG KETAMAN- LONG PUJUNGAN (B/L/D)
In the morning, after breakfast, you will start jungle trekking to mountain area where you can hunt and appreciate the untouched and unpolluted rainforest. Overnight at jungle camp or local house in Long Ketaman.

Day 08: LONG PUNJUNGAN-LONG BIA (B/L/D)
After breakfast, and then sail downstream by motorized canoe or long boat to Long Bia. Overnight at local house. Meals will be provided enroute.

Day 09: LONG BIA- TANJUNG SELOR (B)
Breakfast, continue our trip downstream to Tanjung Selor, after arrival check in at simple hotel free at leisure, meals
provided, overnight at Hotel in Tanjung Selor

Day 10: TANJUNG SELOR- TARAKAN (B)
Breakfast, free at leisure, until your transfer to Tanjung Selor harbor for the speedboat ride to Tarakan, upon Tarakan
harbor transfer to either a hotel or Tarakan airport where you can connect for your next destination.

BRIEF ABOUT KAYAN RIVER 
Kayan River is a major access route to the interior areas. The river has long and  fast stream rapids which some 6 world scale that make this journey is formidable and challenging, unpredictable, and must be ready for the unexpected nature. Kayan River is the home of Dayak Kenyah and Kayan Tribe, that spread frm Apokayan downstream. It is geographically situated in North Kalimantan, covered by primary forest, with giant trees, rivers and you can experience this pristine magical forest by staying in simple camp.

ACCOMODATIONS:
You will be staying in local long house, simple camp, no western facilities such as sitting toilet, mattresses or hot water.

Long Bia – Long Pujungan : 12-15 hours by long boat
Long Pujungan – Ketaman – Long Jelet : 3-4 hours by canoe

Birds, lizards, deer, monkeys, clouded leopard, sun bears

IMPORTANT REMARK:
As the field conditions are unpredictable, delays can occur, it is strongly advised to take 2-3 days spare and not booking any other trip or flight after this 10-day program.
