Day 1: BERAU ARRIVAL (D)
Picked up at Berau Airport and then transfer to hotel. You can enjoy town sightseeing. Dinner at local restaurant. Check in hotel in Berau.
Day 2: BERAU- BENUA BARU DAYAK VILLAGE-MERASA ORANGUTAN JUNGLE TREK-BERAU (B,L,D)
AFter breakafsta dn then drive about 1 hour to benua Baru Dayak Kayan Village. Upon arrival there you will be welcomed by the tribe with traditional Dayak ceremony afterwards and then observe Dayak arts of Banua Baru which is decorated with mesmerizing design inspired by jungle life which is influenced by design from Chinese and Vienamese Dong Son. You an also meet Dayak women with long ears and tattoo, and now their number lesser as modern development evolves. Drive about 1 hour further to Merasa Village along Lesan river, and then sail upstream by motorized boat for 2 hours and while sailing you can enjoy the scenery of river banks that you can find vegetations and and might spot some wildlife such as otters, monkeys and some birds species. Visit Bawan Island, an island inhabited by orangutan in Lesan River and then short jungle trek and whenever possible visit waterfall, old Dayak grave and limestone cave. In the late afternoon return by canoe to Merasa hamlet and drive 2 hours to Berau Hotel. Check in.
Day 3: BERAU- MARATUA ISLAND(B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel and then transfer to Berau Harbor and take speedboat to Maratua Island. Check in. And free program.
Day 4: MARATUA ISLAND(B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel and then free leisure to enjoy the view of blue lagoon from the hotel, swimming at swimming pool or snorkeling to see the marvelous reefs nearby the resort, kayaking at the lake nearby resort or cycling the mangrove forest or Bajau fishermen’s village at the island.
Day 5: MARATUA-SANGALAKI-KAKABAN- DERAWAN ISLAND (B,L,D)
After breakfast and then free leisure until transfer to Sangalaki and Kakaban Island. Sangalaki is popular for its Manta Reef where you can swim with them and green turtles also usually ashore and lay eggs on its beach. While Kakaban is famous for its jelly fish Lake, is surrounded by mangrove and beautiful underwater coral reef underwater life and 120 meters long cave point. Late afternoon sail to Derawan. Check in.
Day 6 : DERAWAN-WHALE SHARK-TALISAYAN HARBOUR-BIDUK BIDUK, LAKE CERMIN- KANIUNGAN ISLAND-TELUK SUMBANG VILLAGE (B,L,D)
You will have early breakfast and then take speedboat about 05.00 to whale shark point to watch them swimming at 08.00 AM at the ocean of Talisayan Village. Afterwards exploring Talisayang Village, a traditional fishermen village to mingle and observe their activities and also collecting bird nest. Drive to Lake Labuan Cermin, alake with salt and fresh water. Enoy snorkeling and forest nearby the lake and then drive to Sulaiman Bay and take boat to Kaniungan Island, an islet with amazing beach and pal trees. Overnight at Resort.
Day 7 : KANIUNGAN ISLAND-MANGROVE FOREST-TELUK SUMBANG VILLAGE-BIDADARI WATERFALLS (B,L BOX, D)
After breakfast and then trek to mangrove forest to search for proboscis monkeys and visit Dayak village where we can meet Dayak women with long ear and tattoo that now are lesser in number because of modernization. Afternoon, jungle trek to Bidadari Waterfall, and during the trek you might spot gibbons, proboscis monkeys , bears and birds. In the late afternoon, return to Resort in Kaniungan Island for sunset and dinner time.
Day 8 : KANIUNGAN ISLAND- BERAU (B,L)
After breakfast and free program until transfer to by boat and then drive about 6 hours to Berau Airport. Arrival Berau in the late afternoon or evening.
