OVERVIEW:
Traditional textile (Wastra) enthusiast would love join this odyssey in Java to know more about traditional textiles in this region. Batik is a world heritage from Indonesia that can be found in many areas in Java. We will take you to Yogyakarta, Solo, Lasem that have been batik center since centuries ago. They have different batik style. Weaving can still be found in Java as well, in Klaten area, where lurik (stripe) is made using manual loom and in Tuban, where various interesting motives can be found.

Day 1 : YOGYAKARTA
Upon arrival Yogyakarta and then transfer to hotel. Check in.
Overnight : GALLERY PRAWIROTAMAN /SIMILAR

Day 2 : BOROBUDUR – GIRILOYO BATIK VILLAGE
After breakfast and then drive to Borobudur Temple, a UNESCO World heritage site known as the biggest Buddhist in the world. Afterward and then drive to Giriloyo Village, a centre of hand painted Batik since Mataram Kingdom era. Here you will try making batik painting. Return to hotel.

Day 3 : YOGYAKARTA- PRAMBANAN TEMPLE
After breakfast and then check out and visit Sultan Palace, former Royal Bathing area. Drive eastward and visit Prambanan Temple , the biggest Hindu Temple built in the 9th Century and is one of UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Tlingsing Village, the center of Lurik ( Stripe) Weaving Textile. Check in hotel in Solo.

Day 4 : DANARHADI BATIK MUSEUM- KAMPUNG BATIK LAWEYAN-NGAWI
After breakfast visit Danarhadi Museum Batik to learn more about batik history and the making of batik. Proceed to Laweyan Batik Village. Drive to Ngawi, to visit Oerip Indonesia, the headquarter of Dian Oreip, well known designer of outfit made out of Indonesia traditional textile.

Day 5 : NGAWI – LASEM-TUBAN
After breakfast, check out and then drive 3 hours to Lasem, a well-known batik centre located on the north coast of Java. Lasem Batik is known as Batik Tiga Negeri (three countries) as it is mixture of Javanese, The Netherlands and Chinese style, until Solo and Yogyakarta, the colour is more vibrant. And then drive to Kerek Village, the centre of Gedog Weaving. You can find fabric made out of brown cotton, white cotton. Locals also make batik out of the weaved fabric using natural dyes.
Overnight : FAVE HOTEL TUBAN

Day 6 : TUBAN-SURABAYA
Free program until transfer to Surabaya, which takes about 3 hours to Surabaya. End of service.
