Bukit Lawang Orangutan-Batu Katak Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights
OVERVIEW
This 3 Days tour is a short trip to see the indigenous Sumatran orangutan and plants. You will step on part of this one of the richest tropical rainforest in SE Asia. Seeing the wildlife, observe the plants, and hearing the sound of the jungle. In addition you will visit Batu Katak, least known place to observe Sumatran wildlife and indigenous plants, Titan Arum and Rafflesia arnoldii, the gigantic flowers. This trip is perfect if you want to getaway on weekend from Jakarta.
ITINERARY
Day 1 : ARRIVAL MEDAN-BUKIT LAWANG
Upon arrival in Medan and then drive about 3 hours to Bukit Lawang passing by villages, palm plantation and farms. Upon arrival in Bukit Lawang you will check in at hotel. Lunch.
Afterwards start trekking to the forest to observe for orangutan, thomas leaf monkey, or other wildlife. To trek please prepare your trekking shoes, hat, sunscreen, and mosquito sprayer.
OVERNIGHT : BUKIT LAWANG ECOLODGE
Day 2 : BUKIT LAWANG-BATU ATAK-BUKIT LAWANG (B)
After breakfast, drive 1 hour to Batu Katak, the other side of Gunung Leuser National Park. Here you will trek to see the indigenous gigantic plants from Sumatra, whether Titan Arum (Amorphophallus titanum) or the corpse flower (Rafflesia arnoldii), based on which one that is blooming on your traveling date. Return to Bukit Lawang.
Day 3 : TRANSFER OUT (B)
Free program until we transfer you to airport of Medan. End of service.
