Sumateran Tiger Trek 5 Days 4 Nights

Kerinci Seblat National Park is tremendously rich of wildlife and natural beauty. Given the not-so-easy access, the area is far off the beaten path. The rain forest in like no other in Indonesia, it is the home of the mighty Sumateran Tiger and also where the roof of Sumatra, Mt Kerinci located. 

Day 1: Padang Airport-Lempur Village
Upon arrival in Padang Airport and then drive about 8 hours to Lempur Village located in Kerinci Regency. Check in Homestay.

Day 2: Lempur Village-Bukit Lintang (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, check out and then short drive and start jungle trek. First you will be passing the secondary forest which is managed by the village and its products such as cinnamon, rattan, fruits, trees harvested by the local community, and then reaching the primeval forest of Kerinci Seblat National Park. Continue hike to Bukit Lintang, which is rich of wildlife such as Malayan tapir, wild boar, deer and even Sumateran Tiger. Camp at Bukit Lintang.

Day 3: Bukit Bintang-Unnamed Waterfall (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast and then start packing up and continue the Sumatran jungle odyssey to the other side of the hill, where you could listen and observe to siamang gibbons and hornbills that making jungle sound in the morning. Along the path, keep our eyes alert of the tiger pugmarks, and other animals trace and wildlife signs. After trek and observation for 5 hours and then camp at waterfall. Enjoy free activities at the waterfall (Swimming. sliding or more observation)

Day 4: Unnamed Waterfall-Creek Camp (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast and enjoy morning with the tune of birds and gurgling waterfall and then walk further to the primeval rain forest if Kerinci Seblat National Park. Along the hike the guide will show to to survive in the jungle: how to find drinking water, eatable fruits and plants and to make temporary shelter. Camp nearby creek.

Day 5: Creek Camp-Lake Kaco (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast continue the trek to the rainforest and observing more wildlife along the way. Until reaching Lake Kaco, a crystal clear blue lake located in the middle of the jungle which is rich of fish. Enjoy jumping and swimming at the lake to rejuvenate yourself. Camping at Lake Kaco. At night we can observe for nocturnal wildlife.

Day 6: Lake Kaco-Lempur Village(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Enjoy free activities in the morning. After breakfast , packing up and then trek outward the forest. Enroute you can still meet wildlife. Visit Seluang Bersisik Emas Waterfall, and then walk to rice terrace of Lempur Village and check in at Homestay. You will be arriving around late afternoon.

Day 7: Transfer to Padang (Breakfast)
After breakfast, and then check out and long drive to Padang which takes about 8 hours drive.
