Pronojiwo is a land of waterfalls, a piece of paradise. There are some waterfalls can be seen here, from horsetails, fan and tiered. Spare at least 2 days too visit all waterfalls. And as it is a little dangerous, recommended to be accompanied by local guide while exploring the waterfalls.
This is Tumpak Sewu Waterfall or Coban Sewu Waterfall seen from the lookout. The lookout is not so far from the parking area. It is best trekked from Lumajang area, not from Malang area, If accessed from Malang, the path is more extreme, while from Luamajang is less extreme and also beautiful.
Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is more mystical and magical when it is a little misty. Just wait few minutes and it will be clear.
After trekking through sloppy path, bamboo stair, creek, and vegetation, there it goes, the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. The roar of the falls, the mist in the air and dramatic foliage of colocasia jeweled with misty spray is such an unforgettable experience.
We stop by at this beautiful waterfall located on the way to Tumpa Sewu Waterfall, the locals call it Air Terjun Bidadari or Angel’s Waterffall. There is a cave behind the waterfall when sometimes people meditate.
No matter how older we get, it is always exciting to see the waterfall, whether it is full size or the mini one like in the picture.
The nirwana cliff is located after few minutes walking from Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. It is a fan type waterfall which flows to mini blue lake as below picture.
Mini blue lake located nearby Nirwana Cliff where travelers can enjoy soaking to rejuvenate.
A tiered waterfall that travelers must trek to reach Tetes Cave. There is another tiered waterfalls which is more sloppy to reach Tetes Cave.
Tetes Cave mouth is covered by small waterfall where you will definitely be showered if you want to enter the cave. The cave itself is not so large, however it is beautiful as we can see the stalactite and stalagmite and some pillars.
Kapas Biru Waterfall is a beautiful horse tail waterfall which can be reached by 45 minutes walk in slow pace. Travelers will need to go down stairs as well. the bamboo tree nearby the waterfall makes the surrounding dramatic.
Walk about 30 minutes from Kapas Biru Waterfal, located Coban Sriti or known as the twin waterfall. It is a segmented plunge waterfall. It is 120 meters high and the cliff surrounding it is very impressive.
Kabut Pelangi Waterfall is a 100 meters high plunge waterfall, this waterfall can also be reached by trekking about 40 minutes.
